After starring in Dhanush K Raja’s film VIP 2, Kajol is coming back with yet another interesting film, Helicopter Eela. The film, helmed by Pradeep Sarkar, is co-produced by Ajay Devgn. The trailer was released on Kajol’s birthday on August 5 and it looked amazing. But, in the credits section, the makers missed our lyricist Swanand Kirkire’s name from the film’s trailer. While many noticed this and called out the makers, Sacred Games writer Varun Grover also said it was shameful.

As soon as the makers realized their mistake, Ajay Devgn stepped up and apologized for accidentally missing out Swanand Kirkire’s name. He took to his Twitter to apologize and said that they will rectify it.  “We accidentally missed out Swanand Kirkire’s name as lyricist from ‘Helicopter Eela’ trailer. Apologies, rectifying it,” Ajay tweeted.

To which, Swanand Kirkire replied, “Thank you @ajaydevgn sir for this gesture @HelicopterEela is very close to my heart.”

Helicopter Eela is said to be an adaptation of Anand Gandhi’s popular Gujarati play ‘Beta Kaagdo’ [Son, Crow] and is produced by Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada (Pen India Limited) the film. The film is slated to release on September 7, 2018.

This new film’s trailer is cut mostly on songs. They have credited everybody in the title-plate at the end EXCEPT the lyrics writer(s) (including Swanand Kirkire). All you need to know how dispensable they think we are. Shameful. pic.twitter.com/2USiQP1Iix
