Rowdy as he may be, Akshay Kumar's Rathore can breathe easy. On Friday evening, Akshay Kumar's eagerly awaited action-adventure-comedy Rowdy Rathore was cleared by the censor board with a 'UA' certificate.
And that means Akshay's young under-18 fans can only watch the film accompanied by a parent.
One of the reasons why the film was not cleared for all ages was the raunchy item song 'Aa Re Pritam Pyare… Pallu Ke Neeche Chupa Ke Rakha Hai , Utha Doon Toh Hangama Ho.'
J.P Singh, the Regional Officer of the Censor Board Of Film Certification says, "Yes, the song was a reason for the 'UA' certificate. We have given the film 'UA' with cuts. We've asked them to remove one head-crushing scene, some abuses in Hindi and a few double-meaning dialogues."
One thing is for sure, this is a completely new territory for producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
