Looks like Aanand . L. Rai’s has a lot of cards up his sleeves when it comes to Zero. It seems the celebrated director is extremely confident that kids will enjoy the film thoroughly and Anushka Sharma’s character is one of the primary reasons for his belief.
“Aanand Rai, throughout the shoot, used to tell us on the sets that Anushka’s character will have a huge connect with kids. When he wrote the character, he had this in mind and he always called Aafia a very, very special character. Aafia is a very lovable person and she is smart, she is a genius and has her heart in the right place. Her full of life attitude despite her disabilities is a hugely positive angle in the film and the director always felt that it will be one of the strong emotional reasons why people, especially kids will love her character,” reveals a source.
It is a widely known fact that Anushka has gone all out preparing for her role in Zero. She went through rigorous 3 month prep and worked with two professional trainers – an occupational therapist and an audiologist – to get into the skin of her character, someone who is suffering from cerebral palsy. While on set, she used to use the wheel-chair to stay in her character!
Zero stars Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles. The film is set to release on December 21, 2018.
