USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Dibakar Banerjee's upcoming film Shanghai has been making news for the past few weeks. Now we hear that the film which is said to be a hard hitting topical outing has been cleared with a U/A certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
However, though the CBFC has accorded the film a U/A certification, one major cut has been suggested to the makers. The cut in question is a scene where a local politician is being abused.

Earlier this week, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) had been filed in the Delhi High Court by Tejinder Bagga of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena against the song 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' asking for an interim stay on the release of the film till the song is deleted. He felt that the song projects India in very poor light.

However, the song has been cleared by the Revising Committee when submitted to the board members earlier.
