Mumbai: Sonkashi Sinha’s image in the films she has done so far is of a desi girl. In Dabangg, we saw her enacting the role of a village lass and now in recently released Rowdy Rathore, she once again portrays the character which is desi. Although she says that she loves being portrayed as a desi babe but in actual, she does not want to get embossed with the same avatar in all movies. It is often seen when you get popular with some avatar, you are then offered the same roles in the movies to come. This is happening with Sinha and she wants to change it in actual though it does not appear on the tongue.

To change it, Sonkashi is going to dance on the item number ‘Munni Badnam Hui’ at the upcoming IIFA Awards to happen in Singapore. Although her acting was praised by the critics in Rowdy Rathore but the big credit went to Akshay Kumar. It is also obvious as he is the hero of the movie and it is not a woman-centric film thus Akshay was to get the whole credit. But there are reports about Sonakshi’s being irked by the whole credit being given to Akshay.

In both the films – Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore, Sonakshi used the same dialect. Her upcoming film is Shirish Kunder’s Joker in which she also plays Akshay Kumar’s love interest.

Sonakshi too apparently wants to slip into the race of the numbers and for this she has to come out of her conventional image. She knows it well thus she wants the change and the change will start from the dance performance on Munni Badnam Hui at IIFA.

She has talent and if she gets versatile, no one can stop her progress in the industry. Keep up good work.
