The last day of the five days of fashion extravaganza, Lakme Fashion Week 2019 Summer/Resort saw designer Shehlaa Khan showcase her latest collection, Diana with not one but three showstoppers. Karan Johar, Bhumi Pednekar and Isabelle Kaif stunned as they owned the ramp in some magnificent creations from the designer’s Diana collection. This edition of LFW saw Karan turn showstopper for the opening show by Gaurav Gupta along with Tabu. Making his presence felt yet again, this time for Shehlaa Khan, Karan Johar pulled off a sleek ensemble with signature panache. The demure Isabelle Kaif and the feisty Bhumi Pednekar upped the runway vibe of the show.
Inspired by the 1980’s, the collection titled Diana is an ode to Princess Diana, one of the biggest styles icons of the world. As a modern royal and a humanitarian, she created some of the most iconic fashion moments in the history. Her style is much-loved and emulated even today, with an affinity to pastels and pearls, bow blouses and regal gowns. The big shoulder pads, bold embroidery accents and luxe fabrics represent the opulence of the decade but at the same time have the softness and feminist embodying her. Shehlaa Khan’s Spring Summer 2019 collection features bold embroideries using pearls, crystals with a hint of gold in pastel hues, fuchsia and black. Sheer fabrics and sultry silhouettes in addition to this represent the contemporary representation of Indian royalty.

Isabelle donned a golden lehenga replete with a headband and subtle makeup.
Karan donned a golden jacket over his monochrome separates.

Bhumi Pednekar stunned in a black ruffled lehenga, sleek hair and subtle makeup.
On the professional front, Karan Johar is all set to direct the magnum opus, Takht featuring an ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Bhumi Pednekar will be seen in Takht and Sonchiriya. Isabelle will be making her big debut with Sooraj Pancholi in Time To Dance.
