USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Viacom18 have received an unconditional John Doe order from the Bombay High Court for their upcoming film Gangs of Wasseypur. According to the order, the film cannot be shown through CD, DVD, Cable TV, DTH, internet, etc without permission.

The order was passed by Justice B.R.Gawai. The order is against all defendants restraining them from distributing copies of the film through any means without a license from its producer.

The Delhi High Court and the Madras High Court have both granted John Doe orders for blocking websites in the past but this is the first instance of the Bombay High Court granting a John Doe order in the recent past.

Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur starring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead, releases on June 22.
