It was shocking moment for Bollywood this weekend when one of the finest editors of the film industry Aditya Warrior passed away. Mourning his death and expressing their grief, filmmakers Hansal Mehta and Onir took to social media to share their condolences. Hansal Mehta and Onir had only best words to speak about the talented editor.

Aditya Warrior and Hansal Mehta have worked together for many films including the Rajkummar Rao starrer Omerta. The editor had also edited films like Trapped, Raman Raghav 2.0, Hasee Toh Phasee, Margarita With A Straw, Masaan amongst the highly acclaimed films. Deeply saddened by the loss, Hansal Mehta referred to it as weird when he had to talk about the editor in past tense. Confirming the same, he said, “Aditya and his team had cut trailers for some fine films including Trapped, Manto, RR2.0, Masaan.”

Mehta took to Twitter to share this condolence post saying, “Aditya Warrior who edited Omerta and did a lot of visual promotions for my work is no more. Devastating news. He was a good man, a great colleague and a fine editor. It feels odd and sad referring to him in the past tense.”

Onir too had kind words and expressed his grief saying, “RIP. Shocked and saddened , Aditya Warrior had edited the promos of my film I AM and it was a pleasure to work with him. Gentle with a fine sense of editing. Gone too soon.”
