'Superstar'Rajesh Khanna was given a grand farewell by his family, friends and fans yesterday morning. The actor's body was placed in a transparent casket on a mini-truck decorated with white flowers. Standing on the truck alongside Kaka's body were Dimple Kapadia, Akshay Kumar along with son Aarav and Rinke Khanna with her husband. The actor's funeral procession started from his Carter Road residence Aashirwad in Bandra at 10 in the morning and reached the Vile Parle crematorium around 11:15 am.
The funeral ceremony was attended by Bollywood biggies like Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, Randhir and Rajiv Kapoor, Kabir Bedi, Sajid Khan, Vinod Khanna, Manoj Kumar etc. It was Rajesh Khanna's grandson, 9 year old Aarav, who lit the pyre along with his dad Akshay Kumar.
