USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Bachchan household may be one of the most secured places in Mumbai; however it didn't quite deter a burglar from sneaking into the house recently. In fact, the entire incident seems right out a masala flick, with the superstar Amitabh Bachchan's house being burgled. On Friday evening, a 30-year-old man broke into the most secured region of the Bachchan enclave, 'Jalsa', and made off with Rs. 8000 in cash.
Deepak Kewat, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was later caught by security guards while he was escaping and was handed over to police. Kewat told the police that he had come to the city two months ago in search of a job. He attempted the theft after failing to get a job.
Confirming this, Bachchan posted on his blog saying, "The guy was caught and is with the police now under investigation. Seems like a professional, for he had entered the most sensitive area of the house, Jalsa. Cops and security are in over drive now. In the end nothing is secure, irrespective of how much precaution one takes."
While on the other hand, the police believe that the miscreant climbed a tree near the bungalow and jumped onto a tin shed before he entered one of the bedrooms and stole the money from a drawer.
