Mumbai: Freedom is the next on Vivek Agnihotri’s platform. After enjoying commercial success with erotic thriller ‘Hate Story’, the director is all set to explore an altogether new genre of political and historic thriller with ‘Freedom’. The film will show the events happened in India during the time – 1970 to 2000. Unlike the ongoing commercial cinema, the movie will feature the realistic take on the subject. The most interesting thing is that Vivek is now going to make his debut as a producer as well with this flick. The film will be made under his banner ‘Vivek Agnihotri Creates’.
In order to get the true talents, Vivek traveled throughout the country along with his casting director and handpicked the actors very carefully. Freedom will be a challenging movie for the ones who have been roped in this project and they will undergo heavy training sessions for next couple of months. The workshops by the director will now be held in Delhi for the actors who have not been revealed so far.
Freedom, a political thriller, vows to endow the viewers with the events happened in modern India during last thirty years starting from the emergency time declared by the then PM Indhira Gandhi in 1975.
Vivek Agnihorti himself has written the story of the movie whereas the screenplay of the film has been dashed off by Rohit Malhotra and Vivek Agnihotri together. Pandit. Shivkumar Sharma’s son, Rahul Sharma has been assigned the job of music for the film’s album. Yash Bhatt will be the cinematographer of the film. Freedom will go on floors this October. Vivek will be the director, writer and the producer of the movie. He is enthusiastic to enact all these jobs with perfection. Let’s hope to see a good cinematic venture from Freedom.
