Mumbai: Although we have been watching older heroes with younger heroines from the beginning but previously it was seen occasionally but in today’s time, it has become a trend to feature the young heroine opposite the age-old hero. There are a number of examples we have seen in recent past like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and many other heroes who have been chosen opposite quite younger even half of their age gals in films. The pairings work – and this works mainly because the film industry is largely male-oriented and films’ subjects revolve around males hugely.
Now Prachi Desai, 23, is going to be starred opposite a much-older hero of the film industry. Yes, Desai has been roped in a film to work opposite Sanjay Dutt who is 53. The film is the remake of the Tamil film ‘Saamy’. The movie’s shooting will begin from next month in Hyderabad.
Prachi was recently seen in Bol Bachchan opposite Abhishek Bachchan and the film is a big success. This success has put Prachi’s falling career a big boost. Prachi is now determined to do films with established stars since with established heroes her films work at the box office. There is a three decades difference between the two stars – Prachi and Sanjay. But she does not give it any importance since she knows one thing that to get success, these things do not matter at all.
The producer of the film TP Aggarwal says that he could have fetched in some other heroine opposite Sanjay but he wanted a girl who did not have the oomph factor and there was no other option than Prachi Desai. KS Ravikumar will be the director of the film. The original Tamil movie ‘Saamy’ was released way back in 2003 starring Trisha and Vikram in main roles.
