Pakistan’s latest film “Seedlings (Lamha)” has rocked at the New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF) by winning two awards out of seven nominations.

The moment for making Pakistani cinema proud at an international platform was when the film Seedlings-Lamha won awards for Best Actress (Aamina Sheikh) and People’s Choice Award for Best Film at NYCIFF. The movie got nominations in seven categories such as:

1. Best Feature Film – Seedlings (Lamha)

2. Best Director – Mansoor Mujahid

3. Best Original Screenplay – Summer Nicks

4. Best Lead Actress – Aamina Sheikh

5. Best Lead Actor – Mohib Mirza

6. Best Supporting Lead – Gohar Rasheed

7. Best Musical Score – Usman Riaz

The Team of Bodhicitta Film Works’ Seedlings (Lamha) was very excited for earning two awards at New York City International Film Festival. Once again a Pakistani fashion model Aamina Sheikh, after the Bol film actress Humaima Malik, has made the history of winning Best Lead Actress award at an international film festival.
