Padma Lakshmi recently appeared in an event where she wore an outfit which was unable to cover her up properly. The dress was of a smaller size and that ended up to be a fashion disaster for the pretty woman. She attended the red carpet event of the 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards which took place in Los Angeles. Padma Lakshmi was seen in a floor-touching flesh hued strapless gown, which was tight for her body.
The American Indian actress has managed to enamour her many fans with her impeccable dressing style. She chose the gown which flaunted her curvaceous hot body. The dress had silk lacing and on the backside of the dress, it exposed small parts of her back. She curled her hair loosely and tied it in a ponytail. Padma kept her makeup minimalistic and a small pair of diamond earrings accessorized her glam look.
Padma later on tweeted on her twitter account, congratualating film-maker Dan Savage and Terry Miller. She has also posted her picture with Kathy Griffin on her social networking account and captioned the picture as “Me and my Ginger Homey”.
The 42 years old model and actress is a wonderful cook too. She has authored several cookbooks debuting with “Easy Exotic” which fetched her the award of “Best First Book” in the year 1999 at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. She has also hosted the reality television show in US named “Top Chef” from the season 2 of the show.
Born and brought up in Chennai, she kept on travelling to New York as her mom used to stay there. She started her modelling career when she was just 18 years. She is a novelty as she is the first Indian model who is having a successful career in Paris, Milan and also in New York. Padma appeared in Hindi film like “Boom” in 2003 and “The Mistress of Spices” in 2005.
