Mumbai: Happy New Year, Farah Khan’s upcoming flick, has been well on the headlines and in the media since it stars Shah Rukh Khan in the main lead. Additionally, the film brings back the friendship of Shah Rukh and Farah. Sonkashi Sinha’s name is being echoed for the leading actress opposite Shah Rukh Khan. But now it seems that Sonakshi is no longer attached to the project.

Ever since both Farah and Shah Rukh made waves together for the project, a number of leading ladies of Bollywood have started oozing out for the main lead role. The likes of Katrina KaifDeepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra are being discussed but no one is final yet. But the sources claim that one thing is sure that Sonakshi will now not be a part of the film.

The reason behind Sonakshi’s kick out from the venture is Farah’s anger on her. This is what happened that Sinha babe did not give full concentration on the promotional activities of Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder’s film ‘Joker’. She did not participate as enthusiastically as it was needed in promotions. Farah Khan and Chitrangada Singh (who did just an item number in the film) were seen mostly everywhere. This angered the choreographer a lot and she has now planned to kick her out of her directorial venture ‘Happy New Year’.

When asked her about her exit from the film, Sonkashi says it is not true at all as she is very much the part of the film. The sources reveal that since Shah Rukh is busy with Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan, the leading lady cannot be finalized. Once he gets free and sits with Farah, the heroine will be zeroed in. There are also rumors about Shah Rukh Khan’s showing interest in fetching Parineeti Chopra opposite her. So the bright chances are for Parineeti.
