Mumbai: At the post wedding party taken place at Taj Mahal hotel in Colaba, a bevy of Bollywood stars came to adorn the function and wished the newlyweds a happy life ahead. The ones from the Hindi film industry came included Shah Rukh Khan with wife Gauri Khan, Preity Zinta, Karan Johar, Tusshar Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Shweta (Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter) with her son and some others. Manish Malhotra, the fashion designer and the one who designed Kareena’s style and costumes for the marriage, said that there were no saat phere for the marriage rather the couple just exchanged vows at the ceremony.
Kareena and Saif first registered their marriage yesterday at Saif’s Bandra residence and then in the evening the nikaah ceremony was held. The marriage of these big stars of the industry has been a low key affair.
Randhir Kapoor, the father of Kareena Kapoor, says that he is happy that none of the two converted for the marriage and it took place without any conversion. The family members of Kareena Kapoor who attended the post wedding party included her parents – Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor with wife Neetu Kapoor and son Randhir Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor’s son Aditya and Shashi Kapoor. From Saif’s family, his mother Sharmila Tagore, sisters – Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan were spotted at the bash.
Kunal Khemu has been along with his girlfriend Soha Ali Khan throughout the marriage functions. He enacted as their family members as he is going to be added to Soha’s family very soon. For the upcoming grand reception in Delhi, Kareena is scheduled to wear a pink gharara or pink-blue green saree.
The entire Bollywood industry wished the couple through tweets on twitter. Let’s wish the new couple a happy life ahead.
