After having a super successful year in 2012, the hot-as-ever Priyanka Chopra adds yet another stunning feather onto her cap of achievements, by being the cover girl of 'Hi! Blitz' magazine this month.
This 'Mighty Aphrodite' (as the mag aptly calls her) is indeed over the moon and has every reason to be so. While on one hand, her film Barfi! has been chosen as the Indian entry to the Oscars, on the other hand, she also exercised her vocal cords managed to do release her international album! Talking about her much-talked about album, she says "In school, I was always the girl who was in the choir, who was doing the musicals, so I always sang – but I never thought that I'd do it professionally." Talking about her childhood, she says, "Since I was four years old, I knew that my ambition in life was to get married. When I was four, every fancy dress show I used to go, I would dress up being a 'dulhan'. I had this obsession with being a 'dulhan'- getting dressed, the hair, the jewellery… all of that!"
As for her recent trysts with controversies, she says that she handles them by "Ignoring it… even though you actually can't! But I think that the other way of dealing with it is knowing your truth and accepting your truth, rather than being in denial. You have to know what is true for you, and you have to have the courage of conviction to stand up for that… rather than going and clarifying it with those five people, you should be able to make peace with what the truth is."
