Sonakshi Sinha who’s paying an ode to the Bolly sirens of the eighties in a special disco numberThank God It’s Friday in Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala has even dressed like the iconic yesteryear actresses (Sridevi fromChaalbaaz and Parveen Babi from Shaan).
However, not many know that the young star is also paying a tribute to some of the international pop icons of the ’80s like Michael Jackson and Madonna. An insider reveals that Sonakshi will be seen grooving to the steps of both the pop icons in the song choreographed by Chinni Prakash.
“In the song, Sonakshi will be seen performing MJ’s signature moonwalk and pelvic thrust. Sonakshi’s dancing impressed all of us, as she seemed so comfortable doing the dance number a la Madonna and even imitating the MJ style,” says a source from the production unit. The dancing is great Sona, but what we can’t help wondering is why the actress didn’t try emulating Madonna’s style of dressing too. Was it too risque for our desi gal or just too risky to be showing off that super-curvalicious bod in Madonna’s style!
