On Tuesday February 26th 2012, United States is taking on Canada in a CONCACAF Championship quarterfinal match at Estadio Universitario BUAP. The winner will get the place in semifinals of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.
Both the teams have long history of participation in U-20 world-cup. United States participated 12 times while Canada 8 times.
The U.S. has never won the CONCACAF championship at the under-20 level. To change the history they will first need to focus on to their key players on Tuesday afternoon.
The U.S. top Group A with a 2-1 win over Haiti in the opening match, followed by a 1-0 win against Costa Rica last Friday. Canada ended second in Group B behind Cuba, lost its opening match 2-1 but coming back with good win over Nicaragua 5-1 to get the position in the quarter final round.
The United States looks to be the favorite to win this game in terms of historical statistics and ongoing performance.
