USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart… Though petite Amrita Rao had begun her career with Ab Ke Baras (2002) and also had a brief appearance in The Legend of Bhagat Singh, it was Ishq Vishk (2003) which had actually put her on the Bollywood map. Call it coincidental but now exactly 10 years later, life is coming back full circle for Amrita as she returns on the big screen after a brief hiatus with Jolly LLB
"Ishq Vishk had released in April 2003 and now Jolly LLB is arriving in March this year. It is full one decade that has gone by", comments a source, "In both instances, she has been saddled by a few non-performers at the box office prior to the release."
Ishq Vishk had turned out to be a game changer for Amrita as she had gone on to score back to back hits like Masti and Main Hoon Naa post that. Now she has Jolly LLB, Singh Saab the Great and Satyagraha lined up next.
"Well, I just hope that cycle of hits starts all over again, just like it was in the case of Ishq Vishk. It could well be a happy coincidence", says Amrita.
For an actress whose last box office success was Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008), Amrita is understandably looking at a major turnaround.
