Bollywood Gossip – The first time Ankita Lokhande saw her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Kai Po Che, she am overwhelmed that they burst into tears. When she watched it the 2nd time, she’d the same reaction, ditto following the third viewing! “It would be a very important film for all of us. As the release date got closer, our heartbeats went faster. I had been anxious to determine how people would react. They’d accepted him as Manav (Pavitra Rishta) and Sushant, but are they going to accept him like a Bollywood star? It’s hard for a TV actor, but Sushant has proved when you have talent nothing can prevent you,” says Ankita having a sense of pride.
If so why was she gone to live in tears every time she saw the film? “Sushant is my entire life partner, I really like him a lot and it was our dream he make it in films. Also, I liked the storyline,” she says simply.
Since Sushant has made the transition, is she also likely to follow suit? “I am getting offers, but at this time, I am away and haven’t adopted anything,” says Ankita that has been a part of Pavitra Rishta for 4 years. There is ambiguity over whether she’s quit the serial or taken a rest of 8 weeks. Even now, Ankita will not shed light on it. “I don’t wish to comment on it,” she maintains. She however, is much more than prepared to talk about her role within the upcoming series Ek Thhi Naayka that Ekta Kapoor is producing included in promotion on her upcoming film Ek Thi Daayan. The eight-part series to become aired on Life Ok has Ekta’s main protagonists from her serials because the lead for various episodes. Ankita plays a newly-married Kolhapur-based Maharasthrian bride who encounters a daayan. “I have just started shooting for this and so far the daayan hasn’t come however i am getting excited about meeting her,” laughs Ankita who feels blessed not have encountered one out of real life! Does she have confidence in their existence? “If there’s God, there needs to be a demon,” she reasons.
