USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart… Just a little over a fortnight remains for the arrival of Ramaiya Vastavaiya and the makers are bringing the film's promotion into the fifth gear. Buoyed by the kind of success that the film's music by Sachin-Jigar has turned out to be, especially 'Jeene Laga Hoon', with 'Jadoo Ki Jhappi' finding good eyeballs as well, Kumar Taurani has all the right reasons to be believe that the stage is set for son Girish Kumar to entertain audience.
"All credit to Prabhu Dheva for keeping the entertainment quotient high for Ramaiya Vastavaiya," says Kumar Taurani in a cheerful tune, "Neither he nor I, believe in distinguishing a film as a massy or classy affair; at the core of it all it should be an entertaining affair."
He particularly remembers the response that Prabhu Dheva's last blockbuster Rowdy Rathore had generated at the box office, both at mass as well as class centers.
"When I went to some hardcore single screen centres in Mumbai to watch the film, the hysteria that I saw there was on expected lines. However, when I visited a premium multiplex centre to watch the film, I couldn't believe my own eyes to see the way audiences were reacting there. They were clapping, whistling and rooting for every scene. Same was the case with Prabhu Dheva's Wanted as well which bridged the gap between single screens and multiplexes", he remembers.
No wonder, he has seen Prabhu Dheva ensuring the same for Girish's launch affair as well.
"Yes, I am confident this is going to be the case. Of course, Ramaiya Vastavaiya is a musical love story but then you have to show more than just two people loving each other. There has to be 'masala' as well. It is un abundance here," he says.
One looks forward to check that out once the film, with Shruti Hassan as the leading lady and Sonu Sood playing her brother, releases soon.
