USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The much talked about sequel to the 2004 film Masti, seems to have run into a bit of trouble even before its release. It is learnt that the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday ordered a stay on the release of Grand Masti in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
This ruling comes post a lawyer had petitioned the court that the film contained vulgar dialogues and obscene content. In his petition, the lawyer claims that the movie promos were degrading to women, and that the content of the film was indecent, further adding that the Central Board of Film Certification should reconsider its approval given to the film.
Featuring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, Grand Masti was scheduled for release across India on Sept 13.
