Seems like after the AR Rahman tragedy, as far as the anthem for the Common Wealth Games goes, many from the Bollywood singing fraternity are ready to pitch in to make this event a grand one. The first to be approached is Sukhwinder Singh who has given some real gems to Bollywood. Sukhwinder has now been approached to sing his most popular song ‘Kawa Kawa’ from Monsoon Wedding for the closing ceremony of the Common Wealth Games. AR Rahman is also performing the Oscar winning ‘Jai Ho’ for the opening ceremony of the Games. But with such negativity surrounding the games, Kailash Kher made it a mission to fuse some positive energy. Along with Naresh and Paresh Kamath (the members of his band Kailasa), Kailash composed a song called ‘Yaaron Jashn Manao’ appealing to the people of India to celebrate the Games, rather than condemn it. The song was supposed to be gifted by the singer to Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dixit in a concert on September 25, but because of the rains it wasn’t possible.
