USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…25 years after she made her debut on Indian national television with Amol Palekar's Kachchi Dhoop, Bhagyashree is back on the home-viewing medium.

This time she has been signed by Star Plus to star in Missing, the Indian adaptation of the Spanish serial Donde Esta Elisa (Where Is Elisa?). The plot traces the repercussions of the disappearance of the eldest daughter in an aristocratic family.

Bhagyashree will play the missing woman.

Says a source, "Though her character is missing from the start, Bhagyashree would be seen in a series of flashbacks. Her entire life is recreated."

The serial will apparently adhere to its Spanish antecedents as closely as possible.

The series will also star Rajeshwari Sachdeva and Ayaz Khan (he was seen as Genelia D'Souza's jerk of a fiance in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na) as a couple.

Eijaaz Khan will play the police officer investigating Bhagyashree's disappearance.

Incidentally all the cast members are failed Bollywood aspirants. Ayaz Khan could make no headway after a hit like Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na. Eijaaz Khan was recently seen in the fiasco Lucky Kabootar. As for Bhagyashree, in spite of blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya, she disappeared from Bollywood after marriage, quite like the character she will play in her new series.

Says a source from the channel, "Star wants to create a new fictional genre of foreign-language adaptations with Missing. Bhagyashree was roped in because she hasn't been seen on screen for a very long time."
