However, the actress seems to be miffed with the way her character turned out to be in the film. Juhi Chawla, has been away from the promotional activities of the film, while her co-star and Bollywood veteran Om Puri has been promoting the film extensively. The actress is unhappy due to the VFX being used in the film to present her character.

Revealing about her absence during promotions, Juhi Chawla mentioned that she was not happy with the way her character looked. Though Juhi had always maintained that she was reprising a role slightly elder to her age, she was unaware of the special effects that will be used for the film. Hence when she saw herself on screen, she was left miffed and stated that no one had spoken to her about the way she would be transformed in the film.

Juhi Chawla had a three day shoot schedule for the film along with the rest of the cast and crew since her character was just a cameo. The actress reprises the role of Om Puri's wife and is the mother of protagonist in the film.

Despite the differences, Juhi Chawla expressed her wish to act in Hollywood films but this time around, she revealed that she wants to act in a full-fledged role like that of Om Puri in The Hundred Foot Journey.

The Hundred Foot Journey is also co-produced by Oprah Winfrey and Juliet Blake. The film is an adaptation of a book by the same name written by Richard C Morais. Portraying the culture of India and France, 'The Hundred Foot Journey' is the journey of a Chef who discovers a new life of flavours and spices abroad.
