Milind Soman has been approached for a prominent role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. This period drama based on the love story between the Maratha Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani will see Soman in an action packed avatar. In fact, we hear that Milind has been having several meetings with filmmaker Bhansali for his role. It is also being said that the actor is required to learn the art of Kalaripayattu in order to get his character right for the film. Also, Milind Soman will be seen doing a lot of sword-fighting and hand-to-hand combat.
Bajirao Mastani is said to be one of the costliest films in Bollywood with a budget of Rs. 100 crore. Produced by Eros International, the film will star Ranveer Singh in the role of Bajirao and Deepika Padukone as Mastani. It will also have Priyanka Chopra playing Bajirao's first wife Kashibai. The film is slated to release during Christmas 2015.
