Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…After Lakshya, Amitabh Bachchan will be teaming up with Farhan Akhtar once again for their next but this time around, unlike their previous venture, Farhan will be seen sharing screen space with the legendary star. The film in question has been titled Do and the film will also have Aditi Rao Hydari playing the female lead.
Prior to this, it was Kareena Kapoor who was approached for the role. In fact, then, Farhan Akhtar was supposedly doing yet another film with Kareena which was Dev Benegal's Bombay Samurai. However, it seems that the deal did not work out and later, Aditi's name was announced as the leading lady. While Aditi Rao Hydari has worked with Abhishek Bachchan previously in Delhi 6, this will be the first time that she will be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.
Do is said to be an intense emotional drama which has Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of an ailing bed ridden chess master. Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Do is slated to go on floor on September 29.
After Amitabh Bachchan's acting debut in small screen, Yudh came to an end recently, now, the superstar is busy hosting the popular quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and also getting prepared for Shoojit Sircar's Piku which stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar is wrapping up sister Zoya Akhtar's film Dil Dhadakne Do. Apart from that, the actor is also producing films like Bangistan, Raees and the upcoming Sidharth Malhotra starrer under his banner Excel Entertainment.
