USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Last week Arjun Rampal was in the eye of the storm for meeting gangster-turned-politician in an 'unauthorized' meeting. Though it is a known fact that the actor is playing Gawli in his next 'yet untitled' film, the police got involved post this meeting and Arjun had to explain his stand. While all seems to be well now, Arjun too has promised himself to be much more careful in his forthcoming visits.
The actor says it all in his own words:

"It is a bit of an unfortunate scenario and I take responsibility for it; I honestly do. Yes, I have signed the film and the makers have taken permission from his family to do this film. What happened was that I had gone with the producers to the JJ Hospital for a recce. There I was told that Gawli was present as well. We met for just 5-10 minutes. Due to me being a celeb, people saw me there and then it became an issue.

Let me explain again that the intention behind our meeting was not because I wanted to go beyond the law. He was in the passage and we happened to meet. May be the people who might have got him there may fear getting into trouble because perhaps they are not allowed to make him meet others.

Yes, I could have been a little more responsible. Haan, thoda laalach tha as an actor to meet him since he was around. Socha, zara mil lete hain.

Once the issue snowballed, I spoke to the cops and explained my stance. They also told me that sometimes this kind of thing becomes tough for everyone. They understood that my intentions were not bad.

I would have to meet Gawli in future too during the making of the film. There would be more interactions for sure. I have been told by the cops that how permissions etc. need to be taken for any such meet. I would be taking care of that."
