USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…All the fans and followers of one of the all-time Indian iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge(DDLJ), here is a piece of news that won't be music to your ears. And the news is that, after a historic 1000 week run, this film made its final curtain call at the iconic Maratha Mandir today.

Post the 1000 week celebrations last December, after the theatre management requested YRF to prepone the DDLJ morning show to 9:15 am from 11:30am, for the cinema to accommodate multiple new releases, YRF obliged from 13th Feb 2015. Though the theatre management was happy to continue the film for as long as it continued to draw in the film's die-hard fans and audiences, it faced logistical issues owing to their staff as they had to work inordinately for long hours to accommodate an additional early morning show. Hence, it was mutually decided to end the film's historic & record breaking run.

After playing for a whopping 1009 uninterrupted weeks, the film's unprecedented performance has come to an end at the Maratha Mandir, the very place where the film made history. The film, however, played out in the 9:15 am show today for the last time at the theatre.
