While the film is being shot extensively in Rajasthan, director Rakeysh is ensuring that every aspect of the film is safely guarded.

While photography on the sets is banned owing to confidentiality, recently the filmmaker tightened the security for the film especially during the shoot schedule of a particular scene. The scene was that of the film's leading lady Saiyami Kher's wedding. Her jewellery and bridal accessories were worth Rs. 11 crores and hence keeping the safety in mind; over 45 guards were appointed in order to ensure the security of the expensive jewellery. Moreover, on the day of the shoot, only a few crew members were allowed on the set because having too many people flocking around would have proved risky. The scene in question is said to be a turning point in the film.

Produced by Rakeysh Mehra, Mirziya is based on the folklore of Mirza-Sahiban but is set in contemporary times.
