This week Deepika Padukone's character will perform an elaborate Kathak dance number in front of Ranveer Singh's character for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, although Ranveer is Missing In Action.
The song to be shot over the next week would stretch into a good 7 minutes of non-stop dancing by the indefatigable Deepika Padukone.
It is believed that love blossomed between the couple during the shooting of the 'Nagara' song in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela.
Now a song choreographed by the legendary Kathak exponent Birju Maharaj where 'Mastani' Deepika Padukone expresses her love for her 'Bajirao' Ranveer Singh-a la Madhubala in Mughal-e-Azam-would be filmed by the same director without the leading man's presence, as Ranveer is recuperating from a shoulder surgery.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had similarly shot a song, a Mujra for J P Dutta's Umrao Jaan, supposedly performed in front of Abhishek Bachchan when the two were in a relationship. But Abhishek was away during the song attending to family obligations.
