Karan Johars Dharma Productions acquires rights of South film Baahubali

Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Today when we see a multitude of south films being remade as Bollywood blockbusters, filmmaker Karan Johar has decided to tread a different path. In fact the director-producer known for his love stories has apparently acquired the Hindi rights of the south film Baahubali for an undisclosed amount.

In fact Karan Johar tweeted the development saying, "Proud and honored to present @ssrajamouli's labor of love…..#LiveTheEpic #Baahubali ….releasing 10th July, 2015!!!" In response to Karan's tweet, the director of the film S.S Rajamouli tweeted, "Delighted to be associated with @karanjohar who will be presenting #Baahubali in Hindi. Welcome aboard, Sir. Looking 4ward for a happy sailing". Simultaneously, the film's official twitter handle posted further details saying, "We are excited to announce that @Karanjohar through his Dharma Productions & Anil Thadani of AA Films will be presenting and releasing #Baahubali in Hindi."

Bahubaali that has been made on a whopping budget of Rs. 175 crores and will release across two parts features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep. Directed by S.S Rajamouli the first part of the film is expected to release in July this year while the second will hit screens in 2016.
