While there has no objection to the release of the film in the rest of country, the political party MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) has banned the film in the state of Maharashtra.

Stating that they do not want a Pakistani film releasing here, Ameya Khopkar, President of the Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena further mentioned that all of them including the state have agreed to their demand. On the other hand, B4U which is releasing the film in India have written a letter to MNS authorities clearly stating that they wouldn't release the film in any city within Maharashtra while the rest of the country will see the release of Bin Roye as per schedule. Duraid Qureshi, CEO of Hum Network and husband of Momina Qureshi, who produced Bin Roye expressed his shock over the news considering that the film was approved by Indian censor board. Also among the Pakistani distributors, Nadeema Mandviwala too revealed his displeasure over the decision. He further pointed the fact that many Indian and Bollywood releases are hailed in Pakistan and this kind of decision may affect the cultural decisions for entertainment in both the countries.

Interestingly, the upcoming Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan was recently cleared by the Pakistani censor board for the release. Also, it is a known fact that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is making her big Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Excel Entertainment's Raees.
