USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Imran Khan has told his close friends he was short-changed by his leading ladies when he was down and out.

According to the forever-forthright actor, after his three back-to-back flops in 2012-13 no leading lady was willing to work with him in Katti Batti.

While director Nikhil Advani wouldn't comment on the matter a source close to the project spilled the beans. "It is true. Nikhil approached several of the top actresses including Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. They all said no to Imran, but yes to the film. They all wanted Nikhil to replace Imran Khan which he refused to do."

Kangna Ranaut apparently loved her role and had no problems with Imran Khan as a co-star. This explains that look of warm appreciation on Imran's face every time he looks at his Rs. 11-crore worth co-star. (Apparently that's the fee she is demanding, though not getting as yet).

Imran Khan would like us to believe that he took a voluntary break to enjoy fatherhood. The truth is, his career needs serious revivification after Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, all of which slipped out of theatres in no time.

There was a time when Hema Malini was roped in to revive Rajesh Khanna and Manoj Kumar's sagging career in Prem Nagar and Sanyasi, respectively. The box office rocked thanks to the Maharani of the BO in the 1970s.

It looks like Kangna Ranaut would have to achieve a similar miracle for Imran Khan in Katti Batti.
