USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…After having enthralled the audiences with the extremely likeable Piku, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and his partner Ronnie Lahiri, under the banner of Rising Sun Films, are now collaborating with Amitabh Bachchan for a social thriller. The said film will be directed by National award winner Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
Speaking about the project, Amitabh Bachchan said, "Working with Shoojit & his team is always a pleasure. When I heard this story, I was drawn to it immediately. It's got a social message subtly weaved in an engaging story. Being a part of such important stories satisfies me."
On the other hand, Shoojit Sircar said, "Aniruddh's story was so compelling that I wanted to make this film immediately. We also wanted to make it in Hindi. Like me, given a chance he would make all his films with Mr. Bachchan! Naturally he took the script to him and is both honored & exhilarated that he has agreed! For us, it's a brilliant start already!"
In the same breath, Ronnie Lahiri said, "It's always a pleasure to work with Mr. Bachchan and I look forward to working with him again on this film".
