Shah Rukh Khan who was recently embroiled in a controversy owing to his 'intolerance' statement has irked some social activists who have decided to boycott the film in their region.

A few weeks ago, Shah Rukh Khan had commented that he finds our country intolerant and his statement resulted in a mass outrage especially on the internet and social media where many accused the actor of being a traitor and some even alleging that he is a Pakistan supporter. However, just a few days ago, the actor after the constant backlash his film faced, decided to release an apology. But looks like that hasn't worked in favour of the actor either. The Bajrang Dal activists in Bihar have decided to oppose the film by shouting slogans, especially in Araria and Patna districts in the state. On the other hand, the Jan Samsaya Nivaran Manch in Rajasthan have been protesting with posters that read 'Boycott Dilwale'.

Rumour has it that the film is facing the wrath of people even in regions like Allahabad where the public is apparently burning the posters of the film owing to the Shah Rukh Khan controversy.

Dilwale also starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by the filmmaker along with Red Chillies Entertainment. The film released on December 18.
