Earlier we had reported that Priyanka Chopra would be conferred with the Padma Shri award while southern superstar Rajinikanth would be conferred with the Padma Vibhushan. Well earlier today the actors were presented with the honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
While receiving the award itself is an honour, Priyanka Chopra who was draped in a traditional saree collected the award from the President Pranab Mukherjee. The Padma Shri title is India's fourth highest civilian honour.
Back on the film front, Priyanka Chopra who was in the United States shooting for her Hollywood film Baywatch flew down to India from Montreal to receive the honour. The actress is currently busy with Baywatch and the TV series Quantico. Rajinikanth on the other hand is busy shooting his next film Robot 2.0.
