USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The new Rajnikant starrer Kabali was all set to take on Salman Khan's Sultan this Eid. But Kabali has been preponed by a week now.

Reason? Salman Khan's stupendously anticipated Hindi release would have dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions too. A source close to the development spills the beans. "Kabali was locked in for July 7, as an Eid release alongside Sultan. The Kabali team felt that Sultan cannot affect the box-office collections of Rajni Sir's film in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh."

This was until it was revealed that Sultan will be released in dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions as well. Says the source, "That's when team Kabali panicked. They quickly preponed their release from July 7 to July 1."

Moral of the story: No one takes on Salman Khan. Not even the mighty Rajinikanth.

Interestingly, the two superstars do a smooth image-switchover in the two eagerly awaited films. Salman, who epitomizes urbane cool, goes rustic in Sultan. Rajinikant who specializes in earthy back-to-the-roots roles of rural crusaders acquires a sophisticated citified personality in Kabali.

Apparently, Salman Khan who never watches films (especially not his own) never misses a Rajinikant film.
