Apparently Kangna, the Queen of rabble-rousers, has come away from the project having rubbed up director Vishal Bhardwaj and her co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor the wrong way.

A source from the film's crew reports that there was a lot of tension on the sets of Rangoon. "Pehle toh Shahid aur Saif ke beech mein bass kaam ki baat – cheet ho rahi thi (Shahid and Saif only spoke on professional matters). Usske baad Kangna ne apna 3 – times National award wala card pheka (Kangna threw her three times National award winner's card). Bahot zyada tension tha sets pe (there was a lot of tension on the sets)."

Apparently, Kangna Ranaut insisted on giving Shahid and Saif tips on how to do their scenes. She also wanted to contribute from behind the camera with dialogues and even scenes. But director Vishal Bhardwaj cut her short. "Vishal very clearly told Kangna he was in-charge and she was to obey his orders. Kangna complied," says the source.

The source also informs that there was discernible tension between Kangna Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor. "Unke beech mein koi history hai (they have a history of some sort). Dono kafi alag-alag rehte the (they stayed away from one another)."

Given the stress, the completion of Rangoon was no less than a miracle. Luckily, the film has shaped up just the way Bhardwaj wanted it. "Kangna has given another National award winning performance," says the source.
