USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…In 2013, Arshad Warsi's Jolly LLB surprised the audience with its satirical take on the courtroom drama. The film was applauded by the critics and it even went on to win National Awards. Soon, the news of the sequel came out and fans were expecting that Arshad Warsi would reprise his role of lawyer Jagdish Tyagi. Sadly, it didn't happen and Akshay Kumar was roped in for the sequel.

Recently at an event, Arshad Warsi opened up about being replaced by Akshay Kumar and how he felt about the same. Arshad revealed that he was supposed to do the film but the production house Fox Star Studios needed a much bigger star. So, they chose Akshay over him.

Arshad Warsi admitted that he was slightly bothered by the decision but he completely understood it as well. He praised Akshay Kumar and his acting capabilities. He said that Akshay was a really good actor and had the capability of converting himself from a muscular macho man to an ordinary man, to get beaten up and yet make the film work like a magic.

Speaking about the production house's decision, Arshad Warsi said with him as lead, the story had to be really good to become a hit. But, if the film had a bigger star then even if the film wasn't good enough, the production house would still manage to cover the money as the risk factor was less.

Directed by Subhash Kapoor and produced by Fox Star Studios, Jolly LLB 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Annu Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla and will be extensively shot in Lucknow and Varanasi.
