Right when the world is a raving about a film that represents the hypocritical mindset of Indian society about women, here's a recent example of how an actress was asked to dress up keeping an Indian audience in mind during her recent public appearance. Known for her fearless attitude, Nargis Fakhri was asked to pin up her dress whilst attending a TV show for the promotions of her forthcoming film Banjo.
Nargis Fakhri, who is busy hopping place to place, show to show in a bid to promote Banjo, was recently seen at a popular dance show, the second season of Dance+. However, there was a visible difference between the way the actress sported her dress on and off screen. Nargis Fakhri took to social media to share a picture right before the event where she was seen wearing a pretty teal colored evening dress from Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna collection with a sort of plunging keyhole neckline. However, the actress appeared in the show, with the dress pinned up, a consequence of 'moral policing' by the TV producers . While several were left surprised about the change, we hear that the channel wanted the actress to wear a more 'appropriate' outfit for the 'family audience' since the plunging keyhole neckline was too bold. And it is being said that the actress, who is known for her blunt responses, had to abide by the same considering her film's promotions were at stake.
