rakeysh mehra’s mirzya is the first indian musical film!The Mirzya album that was launched by the makers, offers a unique flavour of music to your ears! The melody is one of its kind and it surely does make one tap their feet once the musical starts playing.

The music that has been created by Shankar Ehsaan Loy has been penned down by Gulzar sahab, who returns to script writing after 17 long years! The music maestros have put in all the ingredients that has made the music of the film so distinct and yet entertaining.

This music genre that falls into folklore has come out through director Rakeysh’s vision and his unique screenplay that he offers in the film.

This particular world of music that has been created just falls rightly in the world of Mirzya.

Rakeysh Mehra has roped in magnificent and eclectic singers like Daler Mehndi, Pakistani Sufi singer Sain Zahoor, contemporary folk singer Mame Khan, and the Nooran Sisters, to name a few for his contemporary love story.

The music composers have given us pulsating, vibrant and straight from the heart music.

The title track of the film sung by Daler Mahendi has tracked immensely amongst the audiences!

Rakeysh Mehra shares, “I feel songs need to be evergreen and that depends on how you approach it. It is not important that you use only hit music for the film. The endeavor is to keep finding the sound of your film, which means it can’t be the sound of any other film.”

The film that starts Harsvarshan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher has been one of the most talked about films. The debutants have given their all to the film and have assured that their respective characters come to life on screen. The on screen chemistry in their first film itself shared by them has also been widely talked about.

Mirzya is all set to hit theaters on 7th October 2016.
