Unconventional and out-of-the-box, R. Balki’s films have always been hatke in terms of subject as well as casting. Even the recent love story (Ki & Ka starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor) made by the filmmaker had a twist as it was a breakthrough in terms of gender roles. And now, he is all set for yet another film and this time around, R. Balki once again moves away from his favourite actor Amitabh Bachchan and has apparently signed Akshay Kumar for the his next. Speculations about Akshay Kumar’s next films have been doing the rounds ever since the release of Housefull 3 this year. While several of them turned out to be mere rumours, we hear that this time around, the actor has indeed given a nod to R. Balki’s film. However the details of the same are strictly kept under wraps. It is also highly doubtful that the film will kick start anytime soon considering Akshay’s jam packed schedule and should go on floor only next year. Akshay who recently wrapped up Jolly LLB 2, will soon start work on Neeraj Pandey’s Crack which was announced a couple of months ago. The actor has allegedly also signed Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, a satire alongside Bhumi Pednekar. On the other hand, official announcement of this R. Balki and Akshay Kumar venture is awaited.
