With an extensive background in social work and fundraising, Dr. Naila is recognized for her inspirational and strategic business approach. She has keen understanding of the issues facing the community serviced by SSN and brings valuable experience to the organization. Dr. Naila has over ten years of experience in a broad range of Health and Social issues.
Dr. Naila will complement our full-time staff: that currently includes Tazim Bhanji, Pushpmit Kaur Bhatia, Tejal Solanki, Ed Bader and Naz Arain, and our six community advisors: Meena Lakhani, Juanita Nathan, Nellie Jutha, Nalayini Ravindranath, Neelam Kumar, and Manjinder Singh.
Dr. Naila’s skills, experience and passion for York Region will drive SSN to an even higher level.
The Board and I look forward to working with Dr. Naila and her team as we embark on an exciting time of growth and change. New and exciting programs and initiatives are in place that will further enhance the quality of life of the members of various South Asian communities.

The Board thanks Dr. Charanjit Bambra for his leadership, support and guidance during the last eighteen months that witnessed a remarkable growth in new programs and social service offerings to the York Region community. We wish Charanjit well in his move back to his academic roots in his position as Professor and Lead Researcher in Applied Research in Biomedical Engineering at SETAS, Centennial College.
