Rajan ZedVarious Hindu organizations are joining hands to showcase rich Hindu philosophy, heritage, traditions, way of life and culture in California’s capital Sacramento (USA) on Saturday, September 15.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, will deliver the inaugural address at this day-long event, titled “Hindu Sangam” (Sangam meaning “confluence”).

To be held at Shree Laxmi Narayan Mandir (7495 Elder Creek Road, Sacramento) from 10 am to five pm, there is no charge for this event meant for all age-groups and open to all (Hindus and non-Hindus alike), which will include procession, havan, exhibitions, shlok recitation, Hinduism quiz, music, devotional dance, play, bhajans, cultural programs, workshops and speeches by experts of various aspects of Hinduism. Starting with Hanuman Chalisa invocation, free lunch will be provided at this event. Venu Mallesara is one of the volunteer-organizers.

Hinduism is oldest and third largest religions of the world with about one billion adherents and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal. There are about three million Hindus in USA.
