From left to right are— Retired Greek Orthodox priest George Bratiotis, Metropolitan Gerasimos, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, Reno St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church Presiding Priest Stephen Karcher, Russian Orthodox priest Father Oleg.In a remarkable interfaith gesture, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of Greek Orthodox Christian Metropolis of San Francisco and distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed met in Nevada (USA) today and had dialogue.

Zed and Gerasimos discussed various topics around interfaith dialogue, religious freedom, spirituality, environment, status of religion, participation of youth, prayer, bringing cohesion and unity among communities, etc. Gerasimos invited Zed to visit San Francisco Greek Orthodox Metropolis.

Gerasimos, who visited Nevada for few days this week, oversees over 150,000 Greek Orthodox faithful in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington through 67 parishes and missions and three monastic communities; under the leadership of Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople His All Holiness Bartholomew based in Istanbul (Turkey).

Rajan Zed is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, a worldwide Hindu organization.
