Do you bruise easily? If yes, then you might have questions what is the reasons behind it and what you can do about it. Bruise is common as you age. Easy bruising can sometimes be a cause of some serious problems so it is important to take it seriously. Bruising is usually common in older adults. While there is no quick fix to get rid of bruise on the spot, whereas here are several things that you can do to speed up the recovery process. Find out how you can make your bruise go away fast.

First of all, you have to manage the damage. After incurring a bruise, ice your bruise for about fifteen minutes every few years for the first few days. Ice is very helpful in reducing inflammation and swelling and in this way it helps bruise to heal quickly. You must do icing as soon as possible and you can stop the bruise from spreading so far.

After two or three days of the bruise, you can apply warm compress directly on the bruise. Make sure to apply it after reducing inflammation. Warm compress will increase blood flow to the tissue and speed up the healing process.

Elevate the bruised area to reduce the blood flow to the bruise. Doing so will reduce swelling and discourage more blood from rushing to the bruise site and causing further discoloration. Elevation works best when performed immediately after incurring the bruise.

Use your thumb gently massage around the outer edge of your bruise. Do this several times a day. Make sure to not massage too hard as it can be very painful. Massaging will activate the lymphatic process so that your body naturally begins to get rid of the bruise on its own.

Ten to fifteen minute sun exposure will also stimulate the healing process. If you can get 10 to 15 minutes sun exposure directly on your bruise per day, the UV radiation will break down the bilirubin which causes bruise to be yellow. Directly exposing your bruise in the sunlight will speed up the healing process and you can quickly get rid of the bruise. Ten to fifteen minutes are enough to help break up your bruise without leading to sunburn.

If your bruise is painful then I must recommend you to have a painkiller for relief. Do remember to avoid aspirin which is a blood thinner and can make your bruise worse.

Eat pineapple and papaya that contains a digestive enzyme called bromelain that breaks down the protein that trap blood and fluids in your tissues. Eat as much pineapple as you want to absorb the bromelain.

Eat the fruits and vegetables containing vitamin C. You can get vitamin C by consuming food like mangoes, oranges, sweet potatoes and broccoli.

Crush parsley and directly apply it on the bruise. Parsley contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help a bruise disappear quickly.

You can also apply ointment that contains arnica. Arnica is an herb that reduces inflammation and help in quickly reducing the appearance of bruise. Apply a coating of arnica ointment to the affected area twice a day until the bruise goes away.
