To build a wonderful stylish tipi you would require bamboos and rustic metal. This rustic tipi is easy to make with the products easily available in your home. A tipi guides a plant to shape in a pleasing order. It provides support to climbing plants for surprising number of years and is easily movable.
Follow some steps and build a tipi in your garden.
– Take four bamboos and wire that can be easily available in every home. You have to position the poles in a cone shape. The base of the cone should be two feet wide. The top of the bamboos should join together in such a way that apex of the bamboos is around six to seven inches from the end of the bamboos.
– Then bind the bamboos together with the help of wire at the apex. Make sure that each bamboo is held firmly in place and tipi is sturdy.
– Take a flexible rope to bind the bamboos together firmly. To make flexible rope, willow branches are best. Willow branches are thin and very flexible so will make an excellent rope. If the branches are inaccessible then for the support of climbing plants, use wires to weave around bamboos. Wire can be good alternate to branch rope.
– Now weave the branch ropes via the bamboos of tipi at the intervals of about ten inches to provide the support to the climbing plants. If you are using branch rope then do remember to secure it with wire also.
This way you can build a rusty tipi in your garden that will provide support to plants. The tipi does not only accent the garden but also is beneficial for climbing plants.
In small space, tipi provides maximum yield. The plants are easy to pick and easier to weed around. The tipi keeps the plants up and away from soil that minimizes the risk of pest’s damage and rot.
Tipi maximizes the sun exposure. The leaves grow in maximum sun light without being covered beneath other leaves. Tipi allows the leaves to turn towards the sun which increases the yield. Tipi support climbing plants in least expensive and portable way.
