Toronto is about to get a lot more fashionable with not one, but two weeks of Canadian designers showcasing their Spring 2013 collections at The ShOwsThe Collections, and the World Master Card Fashion Week…one after the other…non-stop. That’s A LOT of fashion, and A LOT of running around. So, if you need some tips for a seamless fashion week experience, here are a few simple pointers to keep in mind.

Survival guide after the jump!

1. Attending fashion shows during the day, editing photos and writing at night leaves very little time for pesky things like washing hair. Well, Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray saves the day by keeping my locks smelling fresh, and looking bouncy and clean with zero effort. It’s also wise to stock some concealer, and a trusty beauty pick-me-up like red lipstick in your bag to brighten up your face even when you’re feeling super tired.

2. Speaking of tired…To keep your body strong and healthy while working those crazy fashion week hours, it’s always good to take your vitamins and have some snacks stocked in your purse (granola or energy bars, fruits, nuts, etc.). Personally, I always have Vitamints on me. Mints and vitamins in one handy package, these are good for your breath and for your body too.

3. Running from show to show, standing in lines, waiting for those shows to begin is hard on the feet…especially when super-high heels are involved. To survive both weeks on your feet, keep a few Band-Aids in your purse, as well as a cute pair of comfy flats. Trust me, your feet will thank you.

4. To haul all of your survival essentials, you’ll need a bag large enough to fit everything in, as well as be comfortable enough to tote around. My new fave is the latest Aldo x Flare bag. Not only is it roomy enough for all of my necessities (phone, camera, snacks, beauty kit, etc.), but it also has a wide cross-body strap, which leaves my hands free to snap those stylish fashion week moments. And it looks stunning too. Triple win!

Hope these simple Toronto Fashion Week survival tips help you get through the next two weeks in style!
